About the Role:We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance & Accounts professional to join our growing B2B SaaS organization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing customer invoicing, Accounts Receivable (AR), collections, and receivables reconciliation, while also leading a small finance team. In these highly regulated industries, accuracy, compliance, and brand safety are non-negotiable. This is a hands-on role that requires strong ownership, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely billing and collections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with clients regarding billing, invoices, payments, outstanding balances, and other finance-related matters.
- Prepare and process invoices, proforma invoices, credit/debit notes, and other billing-related documents.
- Maintain and regularly follow up on Accounts Receivable (AR) and ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Record and maintain new orders accurately in the relevant systems and trackers.
- Perform ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Assist with direct and indirect tax-related activities, including basic compliance and documentation.
- Coordinate with Sales, operations, Legal, and other internal teams to support finance operations and resolve billing/payment-related queries.
- Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, orders, and other financial transactions.
- Prepare regular AR ageing reports, reconciliation statements, and other finance-related reports as required.
- Identify discrepancies and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for timely resolution.
- Ensure adherence to internal finance processes, controls, and documentation requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably in B2B SaaS/technology.
- Hands-on experience in billing, invoicing, AR, collections, and reconciliations.
- Experience handling invoices, proforma invoices, credit/debit notes, orders, and ledger reconciliation.
- Basic knowledge of direct and indirect tax compliance.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting tools such as Zoho Books, Tally, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar.
- Strong communication, coordination, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate with Sales, Operations, Legal, and internal stakeholders.
