1/2 GNC Engineer Blackswan Space is making satellites autonomous – a cornerstone for enabling the future space economy. With the help of the European Space Agency, our team is developing a novel product that enables spacecraft relative navigation while leveraging computer vision and neural networks. If you’re keen on harnessing the current advancements in GNC algorithms, computer vision and embedded systems to solve open problems in spacecraft relative navigation, while also having a knack for working with real flight hardware, we would love to hear from you ! Job Description As an instrumental part of our engineering team you will: • Interfacing with the end customer, review and asses related system and subsystem level requirements. • Develop, test and optimize Guidance Navigation and Control algorithms. • Select flight components needed for vision based GNC systems. • Develop 6-DOF spacecraft dynamics simulation models. • Lead laboratory testing campaigns to validate and verify GNC algorithms. Job Requirements • 2+ years developing, testing and optimizing GNC systems for flown missions. • Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink modeling of the entire GNC stack. • Good understanding of C++ and what it takes to develop flight code (not blind autocoding). -- 1 of 2 -- 2/2 Assets • Previous experience with relative navigation in space. • Working with vision-based navigation systems and sensors. • Systems engineering experience in previous projects with complex GNC systems.
